The Dimes to Perform New Songs

The Dimes are scheduled to perform with Justin King and Ehren Ebbage at the Mississippi Studios on April 19th at 9pm. The Dimes will be playing, for the first time, songs from their upcoming, second full-length album.

It was just in December of last year that The Dimes released their first full-length album, The Silent Generation; reviewed here at NW Noise and was reviewed and liked by SPIN magazine, with the mag saying:

“The hooky debut from this tuneful quartet is a moving meditation on hard times…The Dimes employ an array of flutes, glockenspiels, melodicas, tambourines, and handclaps to heighten the mood, with “Catch Me Jumping” and “Paul Kern Can’t Sleep” skyrocketing exuberantly. 3.5 STARS!”

The Silent Generation was picked up by college radio, played on music blogs, aggregated on Hype Machine and all this on top of debuting at #37 on CMJ’s first Top 200 Chart of 2008.

WHO: The Dimes (Northwest indie-pop). Supported by Justin King, Ehren Ebbage.
WHAT: Live performance featuring ALL NEW MUSIC and FREE CD’s
